Experience a Blissful Retreat at Villa Marciana Farm and Resort in Laguna
We had a weekend at Villa Marciana Farm to celebrate a birthday of a family member. It was an intimate gathering of a small group of about 20 persons and we were comfortably accommodated.
According to Villa Marciana’s page, their place “offers a perfect spot to spend intimate and quality time with loved ones, family, friends, or co-workers.” The place is big enough to cater to bigger groups of 25 – 35 guests which make it an ideal location too for team buildings or company outings.
The resort is at a secluded area. We were surprised to arrive at a property that was a couple of acres and surrounded by various fruit-bearing trees like coconut, banana and even lanzones.
If you are looking for a private, quiet, and relaxing getaway with loved ones, then you can’t go wrong with Villa Marciana.
Villa Marciana Farm Resort Villas
They have 3 villas of various sizes, the main villa has two rooms and a kitchen, dining and living area. It is also the nearest villa to the pool and jacuzzi.
Tip: Bring your own set of cooking utensils. Or ask them if they provide complete kitchen equipment now.
There’s the Spa villa and Bahay Kubo villa that can fit about 10 persons and 30 persons respectively.
If you need extra space for other activities, there’s also a pavilion where you can play badminton, table tennis, and volleyball. There is also space for karaoke.
Close to the pavilion is a smaller nipa hut where one can hangout or simply spend some quiet time alone.
The Pool
Their infinity pool is kid and adult friendly. It starts from 2.5 feet deep to 6 feet and the fountains on the side add more fun to it.
At the far end of the pool is a small waterfall jacuzzi that can be enjoyed by both kids and adults.
Don’t be surprised by the naturally lukewarm water in Villa Marciana Farm, like most resort in Laguna the water here is hot spring water. The municipality of Bay is at the feet of the dormant volcano, Mt. Makiling, and this is where they source their water.

Other Tips
- Maximize your stay here by visiting the nearby natural hot spring. We were informed by the caretakers that swimming in the spring is free and that you can even have a picnic there.
- Bring a mosquito repellent with you because there are a lot mosquitoes at night. Bees can also be a problem at night.
- Buy your ice bags in town if you plan to drink when you arrive. The place is secluded and it’s going to be a long drive just to go back to town and buy ice. Plan your meals as well.
- There’s a small bar filled with beer and drinks. You can purchase them if you want, simply ask the caretaker.
- Finding signal is a chore so I eventually gave up. My companions though had luck at the garden near the jacuzzi.
- Bring your own towels/toiletries.
Our Stay
Overall, we loved our stay at Villa Marciana Farm. The experience was different from the usual weekend vacation that we get in a resort in Laguna. It was a breath of fresh air, we were away from a crowded village and were surrounded by the serenity of nature instead.
We had all the space we needed too and so much more. There were even spots that we didn’t have the chance to use or explore because we were already content with where we were. The pool, jacuzzi, karaoke, and games inside the main villa all kept us busy.
Communication with the caretaker was very convenient and amusing. They use a two-way radio device or what we commonly know as Walkie-talkies. It was so amusing in a way that it reminded us of a lot of childhood memories!
Anyway, the caretaker was very accommodating and quick to answer to our calls. We had to ask them to buy ice for us because we forgot to buy before we came in. They were quick since they have motorcycles. We also liked that they were quite pro-active when it comes to cleaning the rooms and the pool.
The only thing we didn’t like were the huge mosquitoes in the bathroom of the spa villa. Although this could’ve been remedied easily with bug sprays, we discovered it late in the night when we were tired, it was inconsiderate to wake up the caretaker so we didn’t bother. The bees at the veranda of the main villa was an issue too but I’m sure it’s a seasonal thing.
I also wish that they install more lights outside the villas so it is easier to walk outside at night. Camping, glamping or bonfires would be fun too.
