Experience the Ultimate Adventure at Inflatable Island in Subic
You read that right. The biggest floating playground in Asia is in the country. It can be found in Subic Bay, 80 miles west of Manila. Inflatable Island is a vibrant and fun-filled destination that has become one of the top tourist attractions for thrill-seekers, families, and even casual travelers looking to experience something different. The Inflatable Island is over 4,100 sqm or equals the size of 8 basketball courts side by side.
A Playground Above Water
The playground that is placed above the water has something for everyone, a range of slides, swings, bridges and human launchers. It can be a bit challenging even for adults who don’t actually have an active lifestyle. A whole day out in the playground can leave your muscles sore the following day. And in case you’re wondering, they can allow children to enter but there is a height limit. More on that below.
The playground at the time we visited in February was a set of brightly colored inflatables in orange, blue and white. Even the lounge was a sudden splash of colors lying in the creamy brown sands of the beach. Now though, it seems they have changed some parts of the playground and added a super dreamy section that is obviously inspired by unicorns! Rainbow colors, giant unicorns, the beach and the skies as your backdrop, how would you like that for your Instagram feed? 🙂
Apart from Unicorn Island, there are several themed sections spread throughout the park. These areas are designed with vibrant color schemes and imaginative shapes, making the playground as visually engaging as it is fun to play on.
Each section offers different levels of difficulty and a variety of activities, so there’s something for everyone, no matter your skill or fitness level. Inflatable Island has its extensive range of inflatables, which are creatively designed to provide a variety of challenges and fun for visitors.
From tall slides and human launchers to swings, bridges, and balance beams, the park offers an exciting day out, especially for those who enjoy physical activities. It’s not just a playground for children—many of the obstacles can be quite challenging, even for adults. For visitors who may not have the most active lifestyle, spending a few hours at the park can definitely give you a workout. . Expect to wake up with sore muscles the following day!
UPDATE: Floating Zoo
One of the newest additions to Inflatable Island is the Floating Zoo, an attraction designed for nature and animal lovers. The Floating Zoo features a collection of large inflatable animals, including dolphins, turtles, and other sea creatures, allowing visitors to interact with these playful inflatables while learning more about marine life. This section is great for families with young children, as it combines fun and education in a unique way.
Samba Beach and Bali Lounge
If the inflatable obstacles aren’t your thing, there’s still plenty to enjoy at Inflatable Island. Adjacent to the floating playground is Samba Beach, a pristine beach area that is included in most of the park’s packages. Samba Beach is perfect for relaxing after an intense session on the inflatables or simply enjoying the sun and sea. The beach is clean, well-maintained, and provides a calm and serene environment for those who want to unwind.
Visitors can also enjoy the Bali Lounge, a stylish beachside lounge that’s inspired by the famous island destination of Bali, Indonesia. With its pastel-colored bean bags, wooden cabanas, and swinging hammocks, the Bali Lounge is designed to provide the ultimate in comfort and relaxation. Visitors can chill out here while soaking in the tropical ambiance. The lounge is a fantastic spot for resting between inflatable sessions or simply spending a quiet day by the water. And yes, it’s another great place for those Instagram-worthy shots!
Packages, Tickets, and Timing
Inflatable Island offers several different packages depending on how long you want to stay and which activities you’re interested in. It’s essential to plan ahead because the park can get fully booked, especially during weekends and peak holiday seasons. Booking your tickets in advance will ensure you get your preferred time slot and avoid the disappointment of finding the park fully booked upon arrival.
The primary packages at Inflatable Island are based on the duration of your stay on the floating playground. Most visitors opt for the four-hour pass, which gives you ample time to explore the inflatables without feeling rushed.
For those who want the full experience, there are all-day passes that allow you to come and go between the playground, beach, and lounge areas as you please.
Basically, their packages are based on the number of hours that you want to stay at the floating playground but whatever pass you get, it will also include access to Samba Beach and the Bali Lounge for the entire day, so you can switch between activities and relaxation throughout your visit.
In addition to the regular packages, Inflatable Island often offers special promotions or discounts during off-peak seasons, so it’s worth checking their official website or social media pages for the latest deals.
Safety and Security
One of the key concerns for visitors at the park is safety. Inflatable Island takes safety very seriously, and several measures are in place to ensure everyone can enjoy their experience without any incidents.
Are life jackets provided?
These are provided upon entering the floating playground. You are not allowed to enter without wearing it and are neither allowed to take it off while still inside the playground. Lifeguards and staff are stationed throughout the park to assist visitors, particularly around areas with higher risks like the slides and launchers.
There are lockers available for rent. You don’t have to worry about theft or misplacing your things around the beach. Given that you’re likely to spend several hours at the playground, it’s a good idea to rent a locker to store your personal items like phones, wallets, and clothes. There are also shower and changing facilities for visitors to freshen up after a day in the water.
Bringing in food and drinks
This is strictly prohibited but there are snack bars and food stalls available on-site. These offer a variety of refreshments, including local and international snacks, drinks, and light meals, ensuring that you can refuel without having to leave the park.
Height requirement for kids
Participants are required to be at least 3 feet. Children that are within 3 feet to 4 feet are required to have an adult guardian at all times while in the playground.
